Not Simplifying — Resimplifying
Simplifying is how you start. Resimplifying is how you keep going.
This is a Principle article — one of the four types you’ll see regularly in Resimplification. Principle articles explain the core ideas that anchor the whole philosophy.
You’ll also see Practice articles (actionable steps), Field Notes (observations from real-world situations), and Signals (how to know when it’s time to recalibrate).
The Principle
Simplifying is what we do at the beginning. We cut out the extras, start fresh, and build from a clean place.
But over time, life adds layers. Tools, processes, expectations, and assumptions build up. Before long, things that started simple are once again complicated.
That’s where Resimplification comes in.
Resimplification isn’t regression. It’s not going back to square one. It’s a conscious act of clearing away the excess so we can move forward with clarity and focus.
Why This is Important
If we only simplified once, we’d be back in the same spot a year later — or sooner.
Resimplification is a rhythm, a habit, a filter you can apply again and again as your work and life evolve.
The Takeaway
Resimplifying isn’t starting over. It’s building in a way that keeps space for what matters, over the long haul.
Closing Thought
Think of it as maintenance for your clarity.

That was SIMPLE! Thanks Jeff.
