This is a Signal article. It’s one of the four types you’ll see regularly in Resimplification. Signal articles highlight moments, patterns, or shifts that tell you it’s time to recalibrate.
You’ll also see Practice articles (actionable steps), Field Notes (observations from real-world situations), and Principles (core concepts that anchor the whole idea of Resimplification).
The Three Questions
Ask yourself…
What am I trying to force?
When you feel stuck, ask if you’re pushing against something that no longer fits. Effort that turns into struggle is a signal worth noticing.
What am I avoiding?
That lingering decision, unreturned message, or deferred conversation adds invisible weight. Avoidance is a form of clutter.
What have I added that no longer helps?
Tools, tasks, or habits that served a purpose once might be adding noise now.
The Takeaway
Being stuck doesn’t always mean something’s broken. It might mean there’s just too much in the way.
Closing Thought
Resimplification often begins the moment you pause long enough to ask the right question. Try that.
